Communications & Energy Committee – Tuesday, June 29
On Tuesday, June 29, the Communications & Energy Committee will hold a meeting featuring Board of Public Utilities (BPU) President Lee Solomon. President Solomon plans to discuss his new role as BPU President, plans for the Board amidst trying economic times, and other BPU initiatives of interest to public utilities and the business community. This meeting will be held at The Mansion at Main Street from 8 – 10:00 a.m. and is sponsored by PSEG, South Jersey Industries, New Jersey American Water and Atlantic City Electric.

PREVIOUS COMMUNICATIONS & ENERGY COMMITTEE MEETINGS
On Wednesday, April 1, 2009 the Communications & Energy Committee hosted Board of Public Utilities President Jeanne Fox, Esq. President Fox discussed the Board's major initiatives for 2009 and how federal stimulus money will enhance a variety of different energy related programs in New Jersey. This meeting sponsored by South Jersey Industries, New Jersey American Water and Atlantic City Electric.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2009 the Communications & Energy Committee hosted District 17 Assemblyman Upendra J. Chivukula. Assemblyman Chivukula, Chairman of the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee, discussed recent developments in State energy policy, including legislation that was recently signed into law, and what he believes will be the future of energy policy and regulation in New Jersey. This meeting was sponsored by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, PSEG and South Jersey Industries.
